On Wednesday, 27 January 2021, in the evening at 22:20, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road, a DAF FT XF105 registered in Latvia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the DAF (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
