On Thursday, 11 March 2021, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaunas, on Jotvingių street near No. 5, at the junction with Rasytės street, a Volvo V50 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volvo (4 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
