On Thursday, 25 March 2021, in the evening at 17:50, in Kaunas, on V. Krėvės pr. near No. 57, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW X3 and a Volkswagen Golf. One person was injured — the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.49‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
