On Wednesday, 31 March 2021, in the evening at 22:50, in Visagino municipality, on Veteranų street, at the junction with Taikos pr., a BMW 330 D registered in Germany hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
