On Saturday, 17 April 2021, in the evening at 17:15, in Kauno district municipality, Giraitės village, on Tyrlaukio street, at the junction with Kėnių street, a Ford Galaxy hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Ford (28 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.13‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
