On Thursday, 22 April 2021, at night at around 4:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 69.70), a vehicle hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who was driving a vehicle with faults the traffic rules prohibit driving with. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
