On Wednesday, 12 May 2021, in the afternoon at 16:14, in Telšių district municipality, on Alyvų street near No. 29, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Caterpillar 428 B, a Mercedes-Benz E 220 CDI and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Caterpillar, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.32‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
