On Sunday, 16 May 2021, in the morning at 9:30, in Šiauliai, on Užuovėjos Sodų 2-oji street near No. 1, a Saab 9-5 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 63-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Saab, who committed other traffic rule violations.
