On Monday, 17 May 2021, in the evening at 22:26, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 217.26), a Toyota Avensis Verso hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Toyota (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
