On Thursday, 27 May 2021, in the evening at 19:20, in Lazdijų district municipality, on Vytauto street, at the junction with 13 street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 6 and a BMW 316I. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.59‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
