On Sunday, 13 June 2021, in the morning at 8:30, in Kaunas, on Šaldytuvų street near No. 5, a Saab 9-3 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Saab, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.04‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
