On Saturday, 26 June 2021, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Trakų district municipality, on the Ostruvka–Varnikai–Jachtklubas regional road (kilometre 1.50), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Corolla registered in Ukraine and a GAZ 3507. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Toyota (23 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
