On Wednesday, 7 July 2021, in the evening at 22:09, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Mikašiūnai–Rūdninkai regional road (kilometre 0.43), an Audi A3 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.99‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
