On Monday, 19 July 2021, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Panevėžys, on Statybininkų street near No. 28, a collision occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Grandis and a BMW 3ER Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (60 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
