On Saturday, 31 July 2021, in the evening at around 20:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Šturmų village, on Švyturio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 and a Honda. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Audi, who violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (1.35‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
