On Saturday, 7 August 2021, in the morning at 5:55, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Šlapšilės village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 296.60), a Volvo FH12 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Volvo (50 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
