On Sunday, 8 August 2021, at night at 0:30, in Marijampolės municipality, on M. Akelaičio street near No. 8, a BMW hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
