On Tuesday, 17 August 2021, in the evening at 17:32, in Vilnius, on Mokslininkų street, a BMW hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (9 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
