On Wednesday, 25 August 2021, in the afternoon at 13:54, in Šiauliai, on Metalistų street near No. 5, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and a Volkswagen Tiguan. One person was injured — the 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.50‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
