Saab 9-5 and BMW crash on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Friday, 20 August 2021, in the morning at 7:02, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 106.20), in a roadworks zone, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9-5 and a BMW 5ER Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Saab (7 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober.
