On Friday, 3 September 2021, in the evening at 21:25, in Klaipėda, on Gedminų street near No. 22, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi A8, a Volkswagen Passat and a Nissan Qashqai. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.08‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
