On Thursday, 9 September 2021, in the evening at 17:55, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 125.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Octavia and a Hyundai H-1. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Skoda (41 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
