On Monday, 20 September 2021, in the afternoon at 14:28, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 48.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a bus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of a vehicle, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
