On Friday, 1 October 2021, in the evening at 20:51, in Telšių district municipality, on the Telšiai–Lieplaukė–Plungė regional road (kilometre 0.48), a BMW 530 rolled over. Three people were injured — the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient), a 16-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and a 17-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
