On Monday, 18 October 2021, in the evening at 21:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 127), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz E 200 CDI, a Volvo S80 and a Peugeot 307. Two people were injured — the 28-year-old driver of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient) and the 44-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (hospitalized). All drivers were sober.
