On Friday, 5 November 2021, at night at around 2:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 109), a Seat Leon ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Seat, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
