On Tuesday, 14 December 2021, in the evening at around 18:00, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vievis–Maišiagala–Nemenčinė national road (kilometre 36.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9-3 and a Honda. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Saab (6 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
