On Sunday, 16 January 2022, in the evening at 19:20, in Rietavo municipality, Žadvainų village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 260), a Ford Focus ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Ford (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
