On Monday, 17 January 2022, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Saugų village, on Mažosios Lietuvos street near No. 18, at the junction with Jaunimo street, a Lipecko TG (LTZ) T-40 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Lipecko TG (LTZ) (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
