On Monday, 7 February 2022, in the afternoon at 14:10, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 37), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and a Mercedes-Benz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
