On Monday, 7 February 2022, in the evening at 19:31, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Žemgulių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 288), a Volvo S80 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volvo (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
