On Friday, 18 February 2022, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 123), a Volkswagen Beetle ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (22 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
