On Saturday, 26 March 2022, in the evening at 22:45, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl., at the junction with Panerių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and an Opel. Two people were injured — a 46-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient) and the 44-year-old driver of the Opel (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.86‰ blood alcohol).
