On Sunday, 24 April 2022, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kaunas, on Jonavos street near No. 1, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Renault Trafic and a Peugeot. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.44‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
