On Tuesday, 10 May 2022, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on Vyskupo square near No. 1, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 518 and an Audi A3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 86-year-old driver of the BMW (50 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
