On Monday, 16 May 2022, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Vilnius, on Metalo street, at the junction with J. Dobkevičiaus street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz and a Volvo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (4 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
