On Friday, 17 June 2022, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 10.80), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
