On Monday, 20 June 2022, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Raudondvario pl. near No. 288, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 5ER Reihe and a Mitsubishi ASX. Three people were injured — the 28-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient), a 50-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient) and a 55-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (3 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
