On Friday, 8 July 2022, in the afternoon at 11:05, in Kalvarijos municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 90), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT 105XF460 registered in Czechia, a Volkswagen Golf and a Schwarzmuller registered in Czechia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the driver of the DAF (35 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
