On Saturday, 16 July 2022, in the afternoon at 12:14, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 100), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober.
