On Tuesday, 26 July 2022, in the morning at 7:30, in Kelmės district municipality, Degučių village, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 87.98), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene.
