On Monday, 15 August 2022, in the morning at 7:37, in Skuodo district municipality, Ylakių town, on Sodų street near No. 16, a BMW 318i hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 23-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.15‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
