On Wednesday, 31 August 2022, in the afternoon at 15:10, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Stančaičių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 272), a Volvo FH ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Volvo (31 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
