On Saturday, 15 October 2022, in the morning at 6:48, in Telšių district municipality, Rainių village, on Žalioji street near No. 31, a Ford Focus ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.29‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. A 30-year-old passenger of the Ford was drunk (2.19‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
