On Sunday, 20 November 2022, in the evening at 19:55, in Rietavo municipality, Spraudžio village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 256), a BMW hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
