Iveco truck hits a parked DAF truck on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas road
On Friday, 25 November 2022, at night at 0:20, in Druskininkų municipality, Ratnyčios village, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 129.13), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Iveco registered in Poland and a DAF FT 105XF460 registered in Poland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Iveco (11 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 10 km/h.
