On Monday, 21 November 2022, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr. near No. 49, a BMW hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the BMW (23 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
