On Monday, 14 November 2022, in the evening at around 18:00, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 50), a Toyota Corolla hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Toyota (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
