On Monday, 26 December 2022, in the evening at around 21:00, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžio aplinkkelis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 1.90), an Opel registered in Estonia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Opel (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
