On Saturday, 14 January 2023, in the evening at 20:25, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Siesartis–Žemaitkiemis–Kibildžiai regional road (kilometre 9.90), a Renault Trafic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He refused a sobriety test and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
